Do you like sports? Do you like events? Do you like sports AND events? Then this might be the job for you. For this exciting role we’re looking for a motivated, flexible and pro-active candidate who would love to be the representative for Shimano Benelux.

Events enable us to connect with e-bikers, roadies and mountain bikers. With your expertise you make sure we are present at the right events and with the perfect set-up. Next to that you will focus on continuing and pro-actively collaborating with sports teams, associations and professionals.

Last but not least you will also look into new opportunities in the field of sports and events in the Benelux market (hint: E-bikes)!

The Challenge

  • Formulate and execute the sports marketing and/or event plan, accounting for budgets and specialist plans
  • You are responsible for delivering a memorable and well executed event that increases the awareness of the Shimano brand and products.
  • During events you ensure an effective service delivery (technical and promotional), manage any problems, lead onsite teams and gain feedback on the event executions
  • Contribute to the coordination, organization and management of events together with internal and external stakeholders
  • Effective management of sports sponsorships including; being a contact to athletes/ ambassadors and collecting product & partnership feedback to maximizing activations.
  • Collaboration with Shimano Europe and Shimano sales offices to help to deliver consistency in the Shimano image, sharing best practices, opportunities & successes.

What are we looking for?

  • Minimum bachelor’s degree in marketing (or similar)
  • 2 years of working experience in a marketing role
  • You have knowledge of our bicycle products
  • You have a big affinity for sports/ bicycle industry and cycling in general
  • You have excellent language skills in Dutch & English (both verbally and written)
  • You are involved and get energized by organizing, hosting and visiting (sport) events
