Our business has been growing rapidly the past years and the current covid-19 developments have increased the amount of leads and potential customers requests dramatically. As we are an event tooling company and virtual meetings and -events are becoming increasingly common, we expect large growth in 2020 and 2021. Even more reason to expand the team with a Sales Development Representative.

Who are we / who is NetworkTables?

NetworkTables.com is a software tool for event organizers to help their event attendees meet relevant people at their (virtual) events. Our mission is to make it as easy as possible for event attendees to meet relevant people. We are the first event networking tool that seamlessly integrates with event ticketing tools so that event attendees directly use NetworkTables without creating another profile, downloading an event app or filling in another annoying long questionnaire.

We are an internationally oriented scale-up, operating in 39 countries and counting. We work with clients like Reed, BMW, Universities, Governments and mid-size enterprises. We are also very proud to be an award-winning company, being named the ‘most innovative event technology company’ the past three years in a row! In light of recent affairs, we’ve been nominated for the Top 50 Virtual Meetings & Events Innovators prize.

What will you be doing / What is your role

We believe in creating a scalable sales organisation using automated sales and marketing strategies. Those are already in place, but we are continuously working on optimising them for scalability purposes. As a Sales Development Representative you’ll be involved with both inbound leads and following up the automatically generated outbound leads. At your start in this position you’ll follow up on the leads together with our 3rd parties and the Sales Manager. You’ll qualify leads via phone by defining potential customers wishes and bottlenecks. The goal of this whole process is to book a demo with the potential customers and our Sales Manager.

Depending on your own development, you’ll perform the demos yourself after the first 3 - 5 months. After performing demos and closing deals yourself - yes, our Sales Manager will help you along the way - the next logical step is Account Executive after a year. After 2 years you’ll hire your own SDR and manage a sales team. Even more possibilities to rock the uncapped bonus.


At the moment we focus mainly on inbound because we get a lot of requests. In the future we expect in- and outbound be equally divided. Does this mean cold calling? Yes, we expect you’re not afraid to pick up the phone, love talking to people, get energised by working towards a deal and are eager to develop your sales skills. We hope you’re resilient, are able to push on and keep a positive mindset if potential customers turn you down. The bonus is uncapped, we hope this motivates you as well. Next to cold calling, you’ll follow up on warm leads generated by the aforementioned automated outbound campaigns.

Absolutely pivotal for this role as well, is that we expect you to play an important role in professionalizing our sales process. We would like to see you take ownership of ideas and projects to improve our way of working, the customer workflow and processes within our company and sales organisation. We’re working towards the same goal, so we’re eager to hear how to optimise the business. Therefore, we would love it if you have a ‘committed ’ mindset and proactive mentality. You define customer wishes, bottlenecks and requests, and discuss those proactively with the CSM, Product Team and our Founder on how to improve our solution, adding new features and our internal (sales) organisation. As we are a small team, we are all working closely together: BDM, CSM, Product Team and Founder. We are all in it together to make sure NetworkTables stays the number one solution for conferences, trade shows and networking events!

Oh, and did we already mention visiting events all over Europe? When it’s possible again, we’ll definitely visit these events. After all, events obviously are a great place for Sales Development for our solution. Therefore, you’ll be joining our Founder and Sales Manager for trips all over Europe.

We would like to see you have / requirements

  • This is a starters position, so experience is not necessary
  • Experience in business development / Sales, preferably within a SaaS environment, is a plus.
  • BSc degree or thinking level
  • Fluent in English, fluency in Dutch is a big plus
  • You thrive on closing deals and improving sales processes
  • Committed mindset, proactive attitude and excellent communicative skills
