About
TQ is a curated tech space in the heart of Amsterdam, founded by The Next Web. We help push tech startups towards exponential growth by providing our residents & members with the right community, events, and facilities.

TQ is more than just a work space; it’s a vibrant community with round the clock educational and inspiring events and encounters. Together with our partners, we've developed a program of events designed to help our residents to grow, both as companies and individuals, whilst promoting inclusion and excellence. Next to TQ’s own program, we host a multitude of tech-related events, organized by external parties who wish to make the most of our beautiful facilities.

We’re looking for an Events Manager to join our team full-time to make sure the TQ events calendar is packed around the clock. You'll particularly love this position if you have affinity with technology, and have a passion for startups & entrepreneurship.

EVENTMANAGER (fulltime)
Office: Amsterdam

Your role
- Your role will mostly revolve around the sale, coordination, and production of events hosted by external parties at TQ. Think big meet-ups, private meetings, workshops, hackathons, networking events, and more.
- You have a commercial mindset. You'll make sure our events deck is always up to date with the latest information and looking sparkling to keep the booking requests flooding in.
- You'll be working alongside our marketing team to make sure the world knows what's on, and to think of creative ways to market our event spaces.
- You have an overview of the needs of all events, and can assist with production. This includes crucial elements such as the set-up of our spaces, coordinating catering requests, and helping guests with the use of our AV equipment.
- You have a sharp eye for detail and a practical, hands-on approach.
- Excellent organizational skills are a must, since you'll be working on multiple projects and events simultaneously. You're able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- You're fluent in English, with excellent spoken and written communication skills. You might not even speak Dutch at all. Totally fine with us since our community is international, as long as you live here or plan to move to the Netherlands and have a work Visa.
- We have around the clock events at TQ, so this means you’ll be required to have a flexible schedule and may have to work one or two evenings a week.
- You connect with the TQ community every chance you get - in the hallways and during events. You want to get to know them, so you know which events we should organize.

In short, you’ll do everything in your power to ensure the TQ events calendar is jam-packed, and all events run as smoothly as possible!
