Our client combines 18 years of marcom and events experience in the B2B sector with technological knowledge and expertise. They specialise in offering integrated marketing services to organisations on a local and European scale. At this company, they ensure their clients’ marketing communications are integrated and run as efficiently as possible. Their team comprises 30 young, dynamic, dedicated professionals in the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Iberia, Italy, Nordics and the United Kingdom.
EVENT MANAGER (medior)

The job
A Project Manager in this company has a hands-on mind-set and sees every event as a challenge. You have good communication skills and are assertive and flexible. You enjoy the successful execution of each project from beginning to completion. You take responsibility for giving every client the very best. You are the organisational talent with eye for detail and are able to creatively translate a concept into the actual event execution. You are good at planning, stress resistant and independent. You take the initiative and have a great sense of responsibility.
Tasks and responsibilities
- Independently creating project proposals; organising and executing small to medium-sized events; making sure the customers wishes are met.
- Maintaining contact with clients and suppliers.
- Drafting and managing the project budget and planning and communicating this with the client.
- Drafting the script and making sure this is followed during the event.
- Delivering the project, often on site, initially under the guidance of a more experienced (Senior) Project Manager and later on independently.
- Giving guidance about execution to the on-site staff and suppliers.
- Completing the administration of the project.
- Knowledge sharing with the team
You will ensure punctual compliance with the agreements made and have plenty of contact with colleagues from various departments, including the Project Management Department, DTP/WEB and the F&A Department. You will be expected to have a proactive attitude towards your colleagues, be helpful and coordinate and transfer tasks on time and correctly. You will have frequent contact with clients and be expected to interact with them in the best way possible, guiding and supplying them with solutions that are commercially viable.

Profile
Professional and intellectual capabilities at the higher level of professional education (preferably hotel school, event management or another marketing/communication-related subject).
- Four to six years’ experience in the B2B eventmarket.
- Stress resistant and well organised.
- Flexible and creative.
- Eager to learn and independent.
- Excellent spoken and written Dutch, French and English.
- Possess driving licence (B).
- Be up to date with the latest developments in the field.
- Knowledge of and affinity with social media.
- Knowledge of marketing and communication.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Excel, Access, Word, Outlook, Powerpoint).
- The ability to take the initiative and adapt to changing circumstances to achieve the required goal.
- The ability to analyse complex problems and suggest solutions.
